Peach Officer Memorial Day - May 18
Part of National Peace Officer Memorial Week May 15 - May 21, 2016
In 1962 President John F. Kennedy proclaimed this week in May as National Peace Office Memorial Week;
"To pay tribute to the law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and to voice our appreciation for all those who currently serve on the front lines of the battle against crime."
Today the 8 members of the Tift County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard performed a 21 gun salute to fallen law enforcement officers at a memorial service held at the Crisp County Sheriff's Office.
