Prom Safety At Tift County High School

The Tift County Sheriff's Office sponsored a Prom Safety Event today at the Tift County High School with the school's prom taking place Saturday, May 2.  Pictured above left is Tift County Sheriff Gene Scarbrough trying the Fatal Vision goggles while driving a golf cart.  

11th and 12th graders attended the event which showcased efforts to make sure they not only have fun at the prom but that they arrive home safely after the dance.   Students went to 10 separate stations ranging from the Fatal Vision program to a rollover simulator spotlighting the importance that everyone in the vehicle must wear a seat belt.
